On Easter Sunday, we read the story of Jesus’ resurrection in Matthew 28 and celebrated the powerful truth that he is risen. We reflected on how the resurrection isn’t just a historical event—it’s the foundation of our faith and deeply relevant today. We also looked at the story in Luke 5 of friends bringing a paralyzed man to Jesus, showing bold faith that removed every obstacle to get their friend healed. Jesus first forgives the man’s sins, then heals him—emphasizing that spiritual restoration is even more important than physical healing. We talked about how our culture often rejects the concept of sin, replacing it with personal truth and pushing God out of the picture. But without recognizing sin, we lose sight of our need for grace, which leads to rising anxiety and hopelessness. The good news is that Jesus still offers forgiveness and healing to anyone who comes to him.
